Like the fig tree that Jesus encountered on His way to Jerusalem (Matthew 21:18-22), it had all the appearances of bearing fruit, yet had none. Jesus cursed that fig tree and, in so doing, pronounced judgment on the temple in Jerusalem. It too had the appearance of bearing the fruit of the Spirit but bore only death.

The barren fig tree was a living parable for the disciples of what the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem had become – fruitless! In the same way today, Jesus is drawing for us a parable of the pathetic estate of His church. It has all the appearances of bearing the fruit of the life-giving message of the Gospel yet, upon closer examination, it is revealed for what it truly is – a fruitless shell that brings with it only death. It is to be cursed.

Yes, in what was once a vibrant, Jesus honoring building, we now have an abortion mill. Can it get any clearer than this?

30 charges have been brought against George Tiller by outgoing Kansas Attorney General Phil Kline. Two different judges have reviewed the evidence and determined that "probable cause" exists. Bill O'Reilly on the O'Reilly Factor has done several segments on this. These segments are provided on the link below. However, as is always true with this, the shedding of innocent blood, corruption is associated. George Tiller is the "most powerful politician in Kansas" though he has never held any office. The Kansas Governor Kathleen Sibelius, the Kansas Attorney General Paul Morrison, Sedgwick County (Wichita) District Attorney Nola Foulston, and District Judge Paul Clark all have financial ties to Tiller or with each other have teamed up to keep these 30 charges from being tried. Please keep in mind, that no one has ruled on the specifics of these charges only on technicalities to keep all the charges from being tried.

Last Friday morning, March 30, 2007, we were witness to God’s orchestration of an extraordinary sequence of events at the abortion mill at 700 East Hebron in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was an answer to forty days of continual prayer and presence at the mill initiated by the ladies of “Silent No More.”

A father, whose woman was pregnant with child, desperately desired his child to live but the mother was determined to have the baby killed. He came to the faithful Christian witnesses (sidewalk counselors) at the gates of hell looking for help and prayer. He took the literature and was counseled and prayed for and then went inside the mill. He visibly lived out the heart of a father.

One of my girls, Charity, 15, told me that she was a bit frightened and was going to remain quiet, but as he kept calling them names and contradicting himself, my girl said that God’s word became like fire in her bones. I read the story by my friend Art Moore as the tears flowed. Then, I read Michael's personal testimony - also published by WorldNetDaily - "How a 'gay rights' leader became straight." How Jesus Christ opened this man's eyes, brought him to repentance and set him free is absolutely amazing! I can't tell you how much this story made my day.

Here is a picture of the men of God surrounding the stage in Jackson , Mississippi last year to prevent the eyes of our little ones from gazing on the vile acts being perpetrated on that stage by the anarchists. They thought they could totally disrupt our outdoor worship service but instead were treated to the incredible testimonies of Jesus’ indescribable love and grace given by Delilah and her mother. (Delilah and her mom are a part of our New Orleans contingent headed up by that great preacher Bill Shanks). To watch the anarchists finally close their mouths and open their ears to the Word of God was an amazing picture of what happens when the Church of Jesus Christ allows her theology to become biography on the streets.

Pastor A.J. Johnson of Doers of the Word Church and David Lackey of Operation Save America - Birmingham welcomed approximately 200 Christians from across the nation to the city Saturday night. Participants, many of whom are veterans from past years of “Rescue” campaigns, met to sing praises, celebrate the Lord’s goodness and seek His power and direction as they prepared to lay siege to the city in the name of Jesus.

Christians with Operation Rescue/Operation Save America’s Birmingham outreach lovingly took the message of life, through literature and abortion signs, to our friends - four evangelical churches - this morning. The churches had been sent a packet of information with an invitation to join OSA this week. None had responded to the invitation.

Two of the four, Briarwood Presbyterian and Liberty Church, were in the vanguard of the Rescue movement in 1988-89 and were among five churches sued by an abortion clinic for $50 million. Briarwood won their case but members gave up sidewalk ministry at abortion mills. These churches currently sponsor Sav-A-Life crisis pregnancy centers. Members of Sav -A-Life are not allowed to participate in street activism …

OSA visitors to Liberty Church’s morning service reported that the church was exceedingly gracious to them. After words of favor from Pastor Bruce Terry, the church’s former pastor spoke welcoming OSA and saying how glad he was that OSA was keeping the plight of the unborn before the public eye. He asked the congregation how many members had been in the 1991 “Rescue.” Several had, including the former pastor. The youth minister said he planned to get with Pastor A.J. Johnson from “Doers of the Word” Church that is hosting OSA’s nightly rallies to see how their youth might participate with us this week.

Curtis Fenison led off the Solemn Assembly with the blowing of the Shofar. The church of Jesus Christ came, with our faces low to the ground, in repentance for failing to stop the shedding of innocent blood. Our souls were mortified when the Rev. Flip Benham read from Isaiah 1:15. “When you raise your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you. Your hands are covered in blood.”
